The Pharmacotherapy Specialist - Inpatient at Tampa General Hospital provides advanced clinical pharmacy expertise to optimize complex medication therapies for hospitalized patients and those in outpatient clinics across the continuum of care.

Working with multidisciplinary teams, the specialist leads evidence-based plans, ensures patient safety, and contributes as an educator, consultant, and research-driven clinical leader within the hospital.

Formación

• Completion of PGY2 residency accredited by ASHP in relevant environment, or equivalent work experience in specialty area.
• At least 5 years of clinical practice in a hospital setting.
• Residency training contributes towards this requirement.
• Current license as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of Florida.
• PGY2 training in oncology or 3 years of oncology experience preferred.

Job Description

Pharmacotherapy Specialist - Inpatient (260004EC)

The Pharmacotherapy Specialist is a clinical pharmacist with advanced expertise in managing complex medication therapies for hospitalized and clinic patients who cross the continuum of care. This role focuses on optimizing pharmacologic treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based care across various inpatient units and crosses care to patient in the outpatient clinical space. The specialist ensures optimal therapeutic outcomes through individualized patient care and clinical leadership As an expert practitioner, educator, consultant, researcher, and clinical leader, the Pharmacotherapy Specialist contributes to high‑quality patient outcomes, advances pharmacy practice, and supports the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Licenses and Certifications

Experience Qualifications

D) from an accredited college of pharmacy.
