Tarsus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Irvine seeks a Scientist, Pharmacology to execute nonclinical studies bridging discovery and early development.

You will shape MOA understanding, design studies, and ensure data integrity for regulatory submissions. You will manage outsourced studies, coordinate CROs, review protocols and final reports, and collaborate across Translational Science, Toxicology, Regulatory Affairs, and Program Management to enable integrated development plans and timely decision

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in pharmacology, biology, toxicology, biomedical sciences, or related field with 3+ years experience; 5+ years with bachelor’s or master’s degree will also be considered.
• Experience supporting in vitro and in vivo research to elucidate MOA, target identification or compound screening.
• Ability to review scientific literature, protocols, data, reports, and translate findings into actionable conclusions.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills to manage multiple studies, vendors, deliverables, and priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for scientific reports, presentations, and regulatory documents.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and influencing skills within multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive, scientifically curious, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while elevating issues when needed.
• Enterprise and entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsabilités

• Plan, coordinate, and execute nonclinical in vitro and in vivo studies supporting efficacy, MOA, and proof of concept that support program objectives.
• Serve as the knowledge holder for assigned programs, contributing scientific expertise in mechanism of action, study design, data interpretation, and risk assessment.
• Lead day-to-day scientific and operational management for outsourced studies, including CRO contracts, scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and timelines.
• Coordinate test-article and API supply, sample shipment and tracking, in-life study monitoring with CROs and internal partners.
• Review study protocols, amendments, data packages, and final reports for scientific quality and alignment with program needs.
• Analyze, summarize, and communicate study findings through reports, graphics, and cross-functional discussions.
• Author, review, and QC nonclinical study reports and regulatory-content for pre-IND, IND, NDA materials.
• Support non-GLP and GLP pivotal studies, ensuring compliance and timelines.
• Partner with Translational Science, Toxicology, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, CMC, and Program Management for integrated plans.
• Maintain high standards of scientific rigor, data integrity, and reproducibility.
