Job summary

Wedgewood Pharmacy in Bakersfield, CA seeks a Pharmacy Supervisor to lead a team of pharmacists responsible for high-quality compounded preparations. You will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with USP , , and state/federal regulations, and drive efficiency and patient service.

We offer a base salary of $160,000–$185,000 plus bonus commensurate with experience, onsite schedule Monday–Friday 8:15am–5:15pm, and a comprehensive benefits package supporting animal health and team

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy with a BS in Pharmacy or PharmD and licensed in good standing with the CA State Board of Pharmacy.
• 2 years experience managing the efforts of others in a pharmacy lab setting
• 2-5 years of compounding experience
• Ability to monitor and ensure compliance with policies and expectations
• Proven ability to lead by example, communicate with and motivate team members
• Strong understanding of USP 795, USP 797, State Board regulations, and Section 503A of the FD&C Act
• Experience mentoring and developing pharmacists
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of pharmacists with accountability and collaboration.
• Set clear productivity and quality expectations.
• Support operations to ensure high quality customer service and workflow.
• Ensure compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> regulations.
• Assist PIC and staff with drug selection from stock for dispensing and compounding.
• Provide regular feedback to Bakersfield leadership.
• Identify and implement formulation improvements.
• Maintain highest level of quality.
• Safeguard patient and company information.
