The Lobby Pharmacist plays a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is at Union Health. Our pharmacy department is crucial for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, optimizing patient outcomes, and supporting overall healthcare management.
Pharmacists practicing at UAP Clinic Pharmacy and Union Hospital Lobby Pharmacy work primarily in an outpatient dispensing role. UAP Clinic Pharmacy, located in Union’s Medical Office Building, is a full retail pharmacy that services patients of the health system, patients of the community and is the preferred pharmacy for all Union Health employees. UAP Clinic Pharmacy also distributes medications to all of Union Health’s outpatient Primary Care and Specialty offices. Union Hospital Lobby Pharmacy is located in Union’s Main Hospital Building and services patients being discharged from the hospital, emergency department and ambulatory surgery. Lobby Pharmacy staff work closely with nurses, providers and the Transitions of Care team to provide medications to patients in hand upon discharge from the health system.
