Job summary

Inspira Health Network is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to dispense prescribed medications and advise customers on proper use and potential interactions. The role supports the Retail Pharmacy Manager and guides Pharmacy Technician staff, ensuring compliant, high-quality patient care.

The position requires a Bachelor-level Pharmacy degree, NJ immunization certification, and BLS. Prior retail pharmacy experience and leadership skills are essential for success in a busy southern New Jersey network.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a College or School of Pharmacy accredited by ACPE with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
• ASHP Residency or master’s degree desirable.
• Retail Pharmacy experience required.
• NJ Division of Consumer Affairs Immunization Pharmacist Certification required.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist in NJ.
• AHA Basic Life Support required.
• National certification in a specialized area recognized by the BPS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications written by licensed medical personnel and counsel customers on prescriptions or OTC products.
• Interpret physicians’ prescriptions and compounds and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead and direct Pharmacy Technician Support Staff under the Retail Pharmacy Manager’s supervision.
• Manage and oversee all aspects of the pharmacy operations and patient safety.
• Consult customers on medication use and possible drug interactions; resolve complex issues.

MAJOR FUNCTION:Under the supervision of the Retail Pharmacy Manager, responsible for appropriately dispensing medications written by licensed medical personnel and providing information to customers regarding their prescription or over-the-counter medications. In addition to supporting the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing your Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, you are accountable for supporting the management, oversight and operation of all aspects within your pharmacy.
