Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy in New Albany, IN is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to serve the community with patient-centered care. You will oversee pharmacy operations, mentor technicians, and ensure safe medication use while adhering to Meijer policies and regulatory standards.

Licensed Pharmacist in Indiana with retail experience and immunization certification will thrive in this team-focused role that emphasizes leadership, patient engagement, and career growth.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Pharmacist in Indiana.
• Experience in retail/community pharmacy settings preferred.
• Knowledge of immunization administration and state/federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Mentor and guide pharmacy technicians; hold them accountable for results.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform at a high level.
• Be competent with Meijer policies and state/federal laws; communicate effectively as a change agent.
• Organize workload efficiently and prioritize tasks.
• Listen to patients; resolve their needs and provide excellent customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations.

Education

Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy

Registered and licensed in the state of Indiana

Certified Immunization Pharmacist

Retail/Community Practice

Working knowledge of pharmacy system and policies

As our Staff Pharmacist, you play a personal role within your community by ensuring that your patients receive medication and care that they need. Mentor, train and guide Pharmacy technicians.

What You'll be Doing:

• Fill prescriptions safely accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results in an appropriate and effective manner and have a vision to expand and grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures as well as state and federal laws.
• Effective communication skills and agent of change.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Listen to the patient and resolve patient's needs, customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, will be responsible for the pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee (where allowed) clinical services, including immunizations

What You Bring With You (Qualifications):

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana)
• Retail/Community Practice.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system, working knowledge of policies and procedures, understanding of regulatory in the state the unit operates.
