AdventHealth in Wesley Chapel, FL is seeking a Weekend PRN Pharmacist to educate patients and healthcare teams on safe medication use and to participate in stewardship and patient care rounds. The role includes supervision of pharmacy staff and supporting transitions of care from admission to discharge, with shift differentials and weekend coverage.

The ideal candidate holds an RPH license, has hospital experience, and meets licensure requirements; background screening may apply in Florida.

Qualifications

• 1+ hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate and counsel patients, families, and healthcare team on safe and effective medication use.
• Provide safe, timely, and cost-effective medication therapy; participate in stewardship, surveillance, and restricted-use programs.
• Engage in direct patient care and rounds; ensure smooth transitions from admission to discharge and follow-up.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy technicians, interns, and residents; support team learning.

Job Description:

Weekend PRN with possibility for weekday shifts Varied shift between 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift (differentials for shifts and weekends)
