Ocean Springs Hospital | Full-Time | Floater PRN pharmacist. Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends

Location: Ocean Springs, Mississippi, United States

Position Overview

The Pharmacist interprets, fills, and dispenses medications; provides patient education and other pharmaceutical supplies following standard procedures and guidelines to fill prescriptions. Uses pharmaceutical expertise for all ages; maintains and inspects medication stock; performs therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM); and performs Sub Acute Care functions. All duties are performed in accordance with Singing River Health System policies, accreditation standards, and healthcare regulations.

Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in Mississippi; controlled substance registration required
  • De-escalation training completed within 90 days of employment
  • Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Additional Information

Reports to the Director of Pharmacy or Pharmacy Operations Manager. Supervises pharmacy technicians and students. Must be physically and mentally capable of performing job duties, with flexibility for extended periods of activity and work hours. Requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. Proficient in MS Office applications.
