Job summary

LucyRx is seeking a licensed Pharmacist in Texas to oversee prescription dispensing, counsel patients, and supervise technicians across our independent PBM operations. You’ll review orders, manage invoices, and ensure compliance with billing and regulatory requirements.

As part of a remote-first team, you’ll collaborate with clinic staff, maintain storage conditions, and support our mission to transform prescription care using LucyIQ™ AI-enabled insights.

Qualifications

  • Active Texas pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Pharm.D. degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years pharmacist practice in retail/ambulatory or hospital outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

  • Fill prescriptions and review prescriptions filled by technicians.
  • Provide drug information and patient counseling as required by law.
  • Maintain medication invoices and controlled substance invoices.
  • Perform inventories as required by law.
  • Provide guidance and counseling to support personnel.
  • Maintain relationship with clinic staff.
  • Review medication orders for interactions, dosing, and allergies.

Job description

Pharmacist who works closely with other pharmacy staff to receive prescription orders and oversee prescription refills.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Fill prescriptions and review prescriptions filled by Pharmacy Technicians.
  • Provide drug information and patient counseling as required by law.
  • Maintain medication invoices, including controlled substance invoices.
  • Perform inventories required by law.
  • Provide guidance and counseling to support personnel.
  • Maintain good relationship with clinic management and clinical staff.
  • Interpret medication orders/prescriptions and review patient's medication profile for drug-drug interactions, appropriate dosing, and allergies.
  • Maintain proper medication storage conditions and maintain temperature logs as required.
  • Understand prescription billing requirements for different payors, including commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare-D
  • Provide oversight of medication distribution to remote clinic locations.
  • Demonstrate and promote excellent customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Holds an active license from the Texas Board of Pharmacy; license is in good standing.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy; Pharm.D. preferred
  • Minimum of two years of pharmacist practice in retail, ambulatory, or hospital outpatient settings.
Skills/Competencies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to communicate with prescribers and patients.
  • Demonstrates current knowledge of medication use and disease management.
  • Demonstrates computer skills necessary to manage prescription dispensing.
  • Understand quality control procedures and confidentiality requirements.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel software.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage personnel.
Physical Requirements

Pharmacists should have a degree of physical stamina as they might need to stand for longer periods of their shift when helping customers of filing prescriptions. Regularly operates a computer, mouse, keyboard, and occasionally operates other standard office equipment, such as printer, copier, phone.
