Job summary

Trustpoint Rehabilitation Hospital in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Pharmacist to join our inpatient team. As a participating hospital within Ernest Health, we emphasize compassionate care, strong clinical operations, and team collaboration to support pediatric and adult patients.

The Pharmacist will consult with nursing and medical staff on prescriptions, monitor drug therapies, and participate in cost-management and quality initiatives while upholding high standards of confidentiality and infection

Qualifications

• Current license as a Pharmacist.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consults with nursing and medical staff on prescription orders, patient reactions, and errors or complaints.
• Monitors drug therapies and suggests alternatives as appropriate.
• Consults with physician groups concerning financial risk management related to prescribing.
• Integrates the hospital's mission and guiding principles into daily practice.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Current license as a Registered Pharmacist required
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

• Knowledge of and adherence to national pharmacist regulations and standards of practice.
• Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.

Responsibilities

Consults with nursing and medical staff on prescription orders, patient reactions, and errors or complaints. Conducts drug utilization reviews and prepares drug review criteria for medical staff approval. Monitors drug therapies as assigned by medical staff and suggests alternatives as appropriate. Consults with physician and physician groups concerning financial risk management related to prescribing. Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
