Responsibilities

• Dispense and oversee filling prescriptions exactly as prescribed by medical providers.
• Provide patient counseling on safe use, storage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
• Comply with URAC, state and federal drug laws; monitor patient care and maintain records for controlled substances.
• Participate in inventory activities to remove outdated and damaged drugs from the inventory.
• Provide guidance to pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate dispensing and reimbursements processes.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment per Board of Pharmacy rules, accreditation standards, and company policy.
• Stay current on pharmacological knowledge by studying legislation and continuing education.
