Position SummaryThe Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing prescription medications to patients, providing expert counsel to patients regarding the safe use of prescription medications, and ensuring that the pharmacy prescription services are provided in compliance with regulatory, policy and procedure requirements for accuracy, safety, and security.Primary ResponsibilitiesDispense and oversee the filling of prescriptions to ensure that each patient receives the medications exactly as prescribed by medical providers. Ensure effective communication with providers, facilities, patients, and internal teams to provide patient focused accuracy, safety, and security.Provide patient consultations regarding safe use, storage, potential side effects, and drug interactions for prescription and over-the-counter medications.
