Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center in California is hiring a Pharmacist for a per diem position. Working in the evening shift, you will coordinate the pharmacy department to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care across multiple units and services while prioritizing patient safety.

Current state Pharmacist license is required; hospital pharmacy experience is preferred. A B.S. in Pharmacy is required, with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred; BLS/ACLS are recommended.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety across General Medicine/Surgical, ICU, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Emergency, Oncology, Peri-operative, Geriatrics and Outpatient services.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, coordinates the activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital, while ensuring patient safety. The scope of patient care provided may include: General Medicine/Surgical, Intensive Care Services, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, Peri-operative, Geriatrics and Outpatient Services.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current state Registered Pharmacist License.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy operations preferred.
• B.S. degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification preferred

Facility Specific Requirements (as Applicable Required)

• APhA Immunization Certification and BLS required.

Pay Transparency

Shasta Regional Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $75.58. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
