Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a pharmacist to provide expert-level medication counseling and patient education, including immunizations and medication therapy management. This role focuses on safe dispensing, regulatory compliance, and contributing to patient care within a retail pharmacy setting.

Applicants should hold a PharmD/BS in Pharmacy with current licensure and immunizer certification or willingness to obtain it within 90 days.

Qualifications

BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients.
Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options.
Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management.
Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding, dispensing, and regulatory compliance.
Mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative and supportive environment.
