Job summary

UHS is seeking a Staff Pharmacist in Texas to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care, including dispensing medications, patient counseling, and teaching. The pharmacist will monitor therapies, provide drug information, and supervise supportive staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

In the absence of the Director of Pharmacy, the Staff Pharmacist may assume essential director duties. Current Texas licensure is required, with a Bachelor's in Pharmacy or PharmD preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.).
• Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D).
• Currently licensed to practice in the state of Texas.

Responsibilities

• Staff Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, patient counseling and teaching.
• Staff Pharmacists fill orders for medications, monitor patient's drug therapies and provide drug information.
• Staff pharmacist supervises and directs supportive staff.
• In the absence of the Director of Pharmacy, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the Director of Pharmacy.
