Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a Pharmacist to deliver exceptional patient care at our New Castle, Indiana pharmacy. You will fulfill prescription needs with a focus on accuracy, provide counseling, and ensure compliance with state and federal laws while maintaining a professional, patient-centered environment.

You will manage inventories, ensure proper scheduling, and support a safe, clean, and compliant pharmacy, contributing to the department’s positive image and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required.
• Current state pharmacist licensure in good standing is required.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill prescription needs with a focus on accuracy.
• Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care.
• Ensure compliance with all laws and privacy regulations (HIPAA).
• Maintain professional image and adherence to dress standards.
• Develop knowledge of the trade area, customers, and competition.
• Foster a positive pharmacy department image through service and cooperation.
• Manage stock replenishment, inventories, security, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Maintain records for scheduled drugs and compliance reporting.
• Ensure proper operation of equipment and safety measures.
• Maintain signage and keep the department organized and sanitary.
