Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must possess current unrestricted state Pharmacist license, registration, immunization license or certification in state where employed.
• Must possess applicable graduate degrees.
• Must not be on federal government exclusion lists and have no active suspensions related to health programs.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Ability to fill prescriptions with dexterity.
• Color discernment, shapes, and sizes recognition.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Tolerance for dust and chemicals during housekeeping.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly way.
• Ability to work with others and adhere to schedules.
• Proficiency with required computer hardware and software.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow company policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service with current prescription information.
• Maintain pharmacist registration and engage in continuing education.
• Comply with state and federal drug laws and HIPAA regulations.
• Manage Pharmacy inventory per policy and regulations.
• Ensure Pharmacy Department security and proper staffing.
• Prepare medications and review physician orders for safety and efficacy.
• Consult with physicians and resolve prescription issues.
• Dispense medications accurately and in compliance with policies.
• Monitor therapies and suggest interventions as needed.
• Advance clinical initiatives and participate in MTM and immunizations as applicable.
• Lead and mentor Pharmacy staff and supervise Technicians.
• Collaborate with departments and third-party auditors as required.
• Uphold safety, cleanliness, and proper use of chemical products.
• Maintain adherence to Service Priorities: Safety, Friendliness, Presentation, Efficiency.
• Complete required training and maintain punctual attendance.
• Work hours to meet department needs and collaborate with teammates.
