Summary

The Pharmacist ensures safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy for all patients.

Details:

• Part-time, 16 Hours/week
• Variable Shift
• Onsite Akron, OH

Responsibilities

• Consults with physicians and nursing staff regarding drug therapy questions, irregularities, or problems, documenting resolutions of inappropriate orders.
• Reviews each new medication order for completeness, allergy conflicts, dose reasonableness, duplication, and significant drug reactions.
• Maintains all legally and departmentally required records, including controlled substances.
• Provides care considering the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of patients of all ages.
• Performs other duties as required.

Additional Information

Technical Expertise

• Experience in pharmacy required; pediatrics preferred.
• Experience with JCAHO accreditation preferred.
• Experience working with all organizational levels required.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software required.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.
• Current license by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy required.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience preferred.
• No supervisory experience required.
