Job summary

Providence Health and Services in Missoula, MT seeks a pharmacist to independently review and assess medication orders, identify drug-related problems, and support care teams on a per-diem, on-site basis at St. Patrick Hospital.

The role requires Montana Pharmacist License; preferred Bachelor’s or PharmD; you will work with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff to ensure safe, effective therapy and participate in patient education and coverage.

Qualifications

• Montana Pharmacist License required at hire.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy preferred.
• PharmD - Pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently reviews and assesses medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential and actual drug-related problems.
• Contacts MDs, nurses and other professionals as necessary to facilitate care.
• Manages drug therapy protocols as part of physician-pharmacist-nurse team.
• Compounds and dispenses medications, provides drug and drug therapy related information and supervises the work of pharmacy support personnel.
