Job summary

Lake Huron Medical Center in Port Huron, MI, is seeking a per diem Pharmacist to join the outpatient pharmacy team. Under the supervision of the pharmacist in charge, you will coordinate the pharmacy department activities, provide patient drug counseling, oversee meds-to-beds programs, manage medication ordering and inventory, perform vaccinations, and support hospital operations.

Current state pharmacist license is required; hospital pharmacy experience preferred; BLS/ACLS certifications

Qualifications

  • Current state Registered Pharmacist License.
  • Experience in hospital pharmacy operations preferred.
  • BS in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.
  • BLS certification and ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care.
  • Provide patient drug counseling and meds-to-beds program oversight, inventory management, vaccinations, and other duties as assigned.
  • Oversee medication ordering, inventory management, and support inpatient/outpatient services.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the pharmacist in charge of the outpatient pharmacy, coordinates the activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital or the outpatient pharmacy, while ensuring patient safety. The scope of patient care provided may include: patient drug counseling, meds to beds program oversight, medication ordering, inventory management, vaccinations, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

1. Current state Registered Pharmacist License.2. Experience in hospital pharmacy operations preferred.3. B.S. degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred. 4. BLS certification and ACLS certification preferred
