Job summary

Downtown Pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join our team. You will receive prescriptions, review for accuracy, and fill them with correct medicine and dose. You will advise patients on side effects, storage, and potential interactions, and maintain patient records.

Ideal candidates have a current state pharmacist license (RPh) and an Immunization License, with strong customer service skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current state pharmacist license (RPh).
• Immunization License is required.
• Prior Authorization experience.
• Compounding experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to multitask and shift priorities, as needed.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Read and review incoming prescriptions for accuracy, suitability to patient, and potential interactions.

As a Pharmacist, you will be receiving incoming prescriptions, reviewing them for accuracy, and filling them with the correct medicine and dose. You will also be talking with customers to help them understand their medications and possible side effects, advising them on medication storage, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment. The ideal Pharmacist candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and is familiar with pharmaceutical best practices.
