Job summary

Downtown Pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join our team. You will receive prescriptions, review for accuracy, and fill them with correct medicine and dose. You will advise patients on side effects, storage, and potential interactions, and maintain patient records.

Ideal candidates have a current state pharmacist license (RPh) and an Immunization License, with strong customer service skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current state pharmacist license (RPh).
• Immunization License is required.
• Prior Authorization experience.
• Compounding experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to multitask and shift priorities, as needed.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Read and review incoming prescriptions for accuracy, suitability to patient, and potential interactions.
• Provide information to patients on side effects, dosage, specific storage needs, and interactions with other medications.
• Maintain excellent patient records and pharmacy files.
• Conduct regular inventory and maintain proper standards for accepting new inventory and categorizing it appropriately.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
