Qualifications

  • Active California Pharmacist License required.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in oncology pharmacy or clinical setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of chemotherapy agents, supportive care medications and oncology drug therapy management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative care.

Position Overview

As an Oncology Specialist Pharmacist, you will play an essential role in our multidisciplinary care team. You will provide expert pharmaceutical care to oncology patients, guiding safe and effective medication management to ensure the best therapeutic outcomes. Working closely with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, you'll help optimize chemotherapy regimens, manage side effects, and offer invaluable education on drug therapies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver clinical pharmacy services to oncology patients, including chemotherapy preparation, dosing recommendations, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Collaborate with oncologists and healthcare teams to optimize individualized patient treatment plans.
  • Review patient medication profiles to identify potential drug interactions, side effects, and contraindications.
  • Educate patients and their families on chemotherapy regimens, medications, and possible side effects.
