Job summary

JobRx, Inc. on the California–Nevada border seeks an Oncology Specialist Pharmacist to deliver expert chemotherapy management and pharmaceutical care in a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes patient education, regimen optimization, side effect monitoring, and staying current with oncology guidelines. CA pharmacist license is required; BCOP preferred; 2+ years oncology experience; collaborative, flexible scheduling environment.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree required.
• BCOP certification preferred or willingness to pursue certification.
• Active California Pharmacist License required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in oncology pharmacy or clinical setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of chemotherapy agents, supportive care medications and oncology drug therapy management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical pharmacy services to oncology patients, including chemotherapy preparation, dosing recommendations, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with oncologists and care teams to optimize treatment plans.
• Review patient medication profiles for interactions, side effects, and contraindications.
• Educate patients and families on chemotherapy regimens and potential side effects.
• Monitor progress and adjust pharmacotherapy as needed.
• Participate in clinical rounds and provide drug therapy recommendations.
• Stay current with oncology pharmacology advances and guidelines.
