Job summary

Young at Heart Pharmacy, part of the Custom Health Team, in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a motivated Pharmacist. You will fill medications for facilities, workplace clinics, and independent patients, verify orders for accuracy, and maintain a positive demeanor with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities include verifying prescriptions, assessing medication identity and strength, and ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Active license from the Indiana State Board of Pharmacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the identity, strength and purity of medications.
• Review prescriptions to assure accuracy, ascertain needed ingredients, and evaluate their suitability.
• Compound and dispense medications following prescriptions issued by physicians or other authorized medical practitioners.
• Provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage and proper medication storage.
• Analyze prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance to prevent excessive usage or harmful interactions.
• Plan, implement, and maintain procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals to ensure quality and proper disposal.
• Open the pharmacy on a daily basis and be present per state board regulations.
