Job summary

Goshen Medical Center in Kenansville, NC seeks a Pharmacist In Charge to lead pharmacy operations, oversee medication management, and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Pharmacy with NC licensure, 2+ years of experience, and willingness to travel to multiple facilities. You will manage staff and ensure compliance with federal/state laws and 340B program administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required; Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency required.
• Doctorate of Pharmacy preferred.
• At least 2 years' experience preferred.
• Current pharmacy licensure in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining prescription records for at least three years.
• Ensuring pharmacy follows statutes and regulations around practice.
• Ensuring compliance with federal and state medication dispensing laws.
• Ensuring security of fax transmissions of prescriptions.
• Ensuring security of prescription drugs, including controlled substances.
• Notifying NCBOP of changes in pharmacist personnel within 30 days.
• Fostering teamwork, team engagement and community involvement.
• Committing to diversity and inclusion in support of quality care.
• Fostering a safe patient environment driven by "First Do No Harm".
• Managing pharmacy staff, equipment and the pharmacy facility.
• Implementing ongoing management/risk assessment of pharmacy automation and informatics.
• Implementing ongoing administration of the 340B program as directed by Goshen Medical Center.
• Determining resource needs and priorities and making recommendations to management.
• Corresponding with Pharmacy Director and Pharmacy Program Manager to optimize information sharing.
• Functioning with considerable independence and receiving supervision from the Pharmacy Director and Pharmacy Program Manager.
