Job summary

Goshen Medical Center in New Bern, NC is seeking a Pharmacist In Charge to deliver an exceptional patient experience and lead medication management across care dimensions. You will ensure safe, effective, and affordable drug use while collaborating with the healthcare team to develop individualized plans.

Requirements include a PharmD/Pharmacy Doctorate (or foreign grad equivalency) with NC licensure, at least 2 years of experience, and the ability to travel to multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Education: PharmD or Doctorate of Pharmacy; foreign graduate equivalency accepted.
• Experience: At least 2 years' experience preferred.
• Licensure: Current North Carolina pharmacy licensure.
• Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities as needed and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining prescription records for at least three years.
• Ensuring pharmacy follows statutes and regulations applicable to practice.
• Ensuring compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws.
• Securing fax transmissions of prescriptions.
• Ensuring security of prescription drugs, including controlled substances.
• Notifying NC Board of Pharmacy of changes in pharmacist personnel within 30 days.
• Fostering teamwork and community involvement.
• Leveraging diversity and inclusion to support quality care.
• Maintaining a safe patient environment aligned with First Do No Harm.
• Managing pharmacy staff, equipment and the facility.
• Managing pharmacy automation and informatics risk and investments.
• Administering the 340B program as directed by Goshen Medical Center.
• Determining resource needs and priorities and advising management.
• Cooperating with Pharmacy Director and Pharmacy Program Manager to optimize information sharing.
• Operating with independence while receiving supervision from Pharmacy Director and Program Manager.
