Job summary

Home Life Healthcare Corp. seeks a licensed pharmacist to dispense prescriptions and provide clinical services at client sites. You will follow HealthDirect standards, ensure accuracy, and uphold high standards of customer service and regulatory compliance.

Roles include MTM, discharge delivery, and collaboration with physicians, with emphasis on confidentiality and professional practice. On-site work and occasional on-call duties may apply.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions following HealthDirect Standard of Practice.
• Perform quality assurance steps to ensure accurate prescriptions and report dispensing incidents.
• Follow state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
• Oversee initial submission, resubmission, and collection of third-party claims.
• Manage pharmacy inventory to maximize turns while staying in-stock for customers.
• Maintain prescription files and records per guidelines.
• Ensure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees.
• Enforce loss prevention policies and report deviations.
• Maintain a clean, professional pharmacy environment.
• Develop professional relationships with doctors and health professionals.
• Stay aware of developments in Pharmacy and Health Care services and integrate them.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Facilitate communication between staff and pharmacy personnel.
• Work on-call schedule as applicable.
• Assist in hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions for pharmacy staff.
• Perform MTM, IMMR, short stay reviews, and other clinical duties to support consultant pharmacists.
• Assist in meeting budgetary guidelines and operate within them.
• Interface with auditors and outside agencies as needed.
• Complete mandatory regulatory training.

Job description

Job Duties:

• Follows the HealthDirect Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions
• Performs all quality assurance steps to insure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed. Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelines
• Follows all State and Federal regulations governing the practice of Pharmacy
• Oversees the initial submission, resubmission, and collection of all third-party claims
• Manages and balances the pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while remaining in-stock for customer needs.
• Ensures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines
• Ensure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees always
• Insure all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss Prevention
• Oversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to insure a clean and professional environment
• Maintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professions
• Maintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practice
• Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information
• Facilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
• Work on-call schedule, where applicable
• Interacts with Facility Manager in the appropriate completion of hiring practices, performance reviews and disciplinary actions of pharmacy department personnel.
• Perform MTM, IMMR, short stay reviews, delivery at discharge, and other clinical functions to support consultant pharmacists and maintain compliance at customer locations.
• Assists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelines
• Interface with various auditors and outside agencies, as needed
• Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Possess and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy
• Ability to stand/walk throughout majority of shift
• Successful completion of a pre-employment and/or random drug screening test
