Job summary

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list

Responsibilities

• Living CVS purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
• Take direction from the Pharmacy Manager and oversee the pharmacy as their proxy during bench shifts with coaching feedback
• Assumes Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and care, and resolving insurance or medication issues
• Deliver immunizations and support technicians to learn immunization processes
• Assist with inventory management and protect cold chain products
• Ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and CVS policies
• Assist with pharmacy scheduling and maintain clinical/technical skills
