Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a pharmacist to fulfill prescription needs with accuracy and provide patient counseling. You will ensure HIPAA compliance, maintain records, and keep the pharmacy area clean and organized to present a professional image.

Responsibilities include inventory control, staff training support, and adherence to regulatory requirements in a fast-paced retail setting. A PharmD degree and state licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required.
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• At least 1 year of retail experience.
• Ability to speak/read/write a second language.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customers' prescription needs with accuracy.
• Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws (HIPAA included).
• Preserve a professional image and adhere to dress standards.
• Develop knowledge of the trade area and competition.
• Create a positive pharmacy department image with customers and vendors.
• Monitor stock, policies, records, security, and budgeting per policy.
• Maintain records and security for scheduled drugs.
• Follow procedures for pharmacy products from authorized sources.
• Utilize accuracy tools and post-dispensing audits appropriately.
• Maintain and ensure records for legal compliance and Kroger policies.
• Keep work areas clean and organized and ensure signage is proper.
• Keep equipment in working order and schedules up to date.
• Ensure staff are knowledgeable of policies and equipment use.
