Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current enrollment in a pharmacy program or proof of commitment.
• Must be registered as a pharmacy intern with the State of Iowa at hire or registered as a Technician in Training up to 12 months.
• BLS certification (or obtained within 3 months).
• Proof of completion of mandatory reporter training within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support in the delivery of pharmaceutical care, including preparation and delivery of medications and sterile products, chart review for information/audits, stocking and ordering of drugs.
• Perform technical work and tasks allowed by Iowa law for a Pharmacy Intern under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
