Job summary

Chippenham Hospital in Virginia is seeking a Pharmacist Intern PRN to support the pharmacy department under supervision. The intern will help with compounding, packaging, labeling, and inventory tasks while adhering to written procedures.

Applicants must be enrolled in a pharmacy program and hold an active intern license. Preference for additional pharmacy technician experience; competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in pharmacy school.
• Pharmacy Intern License required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• 2 years pharmacy technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process medication orders and accurately dispense medications and IV admixtures.
• Maintain patient records and inventory; assist in packaging and labeling.
• Support cart fill, unit dose distribution and automated dispensing inventories.
• Demonstrate teamwork to maximize operational efficiency and patient care.
• Assist in ongoing performance improvement activities.
