Job summary

Atrius Health in Massachusetts is seeking a pharmacist intern for a PRN role that supports pediatric and adult care across multiple sites. Hours are 8am–6pm, Monday–Friday, with flexibility around school and clinical rotations.

Qualifications

  • Active pharmacist intern license in Massachusetts.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Distribute drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
  • Provide information to customers about medications and their use
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing patient records and processing insurance claims
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
  • Administration of immunizations as allowed by state boards of pharmacy
  • Consistently exhibit behavior and communication skills that demonstrate the company's commitment to superior customer service, including quality care and concern with internal and external customers
  • Adhere to having a safe and secure workspace and communicate with their leadership when that safety (equipment, system, information) is compromised
  • Comply with policies, rules and regulations set forth by the Board of Pharmacy, and other applicable regulatory bodies
  • Use, protect, and disclose patients' protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards

The schedule for this position is PRN, Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am - 6pm and is flexible around a candidate's school and clinical rotation schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program.
  • Active pharmacist intern license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Clinical rotation, pharmacy intern or pharmacy technician experience
  • 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA
  • Solid understanding of medical and pharmacy terminology

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $18.00 to $25.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
