Smith’s Food and Drug in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the pharmacy team in delivering high-quality customer care. The role involves dispensing medications, counseling customers, and assisting with over-the-counter recommendations under the guidance of the pharmacist.

You will input prescription data, coordinate with prescribers and insurers, and help maintain a clean, safe, and compliant pharmacy environment while delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
• Holds a current state issued Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates and provide drug counseling to customers.
• Assist customers with over the counter medication recommendations.
• Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system accurately.
• Dispense medications and contact prescribers' offices for authorization when needed.
• Process third party insurance information for customers and assist with insurance questions.
• Provide immunizations under supervision of the pharmacist.
• Maintain a clean department and ensure safety and compliance with QA standards.
