Job summary

Dayton Children’s - Main Campus is seeking a pharmacist to join the Clinical Pharmacy team. The role covers daily operations, order verification, and final dispensing checks to ensure safe medication delivery for patients.

You will monitor patient therapies, provide drug information, and supervise technicians. In absence of the manager, you may assume essential managerial duties. Ohio licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
• Ohio Pharmacist license (Rph Ohio) required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations in Clinical Pharmacy to ensure safe and accurate medication processing and delivery.
• Review and verify medication orders and complete final checks for dispensing.
• Monitor patient drug therapies and provide drug information to staff and patients.
• Promote medication safety and supervise pharmacy technicians.
• In the absence of the pharmacy manager, assume essential duties of the manager.

Job Details:

The pharmacist oversees the daily operations within the department to ensure the safe and appropriate processing and delivery of medications to the patients. The pharmacist is responsible for reviewing and verifying medication orders and completing the final check for medication dispensing. The pharmacist monitors patient drug therapies, provides drug information, and promotes medication safety. The pharmacist supports and supervises the pharmacy technicians. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, the pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager.
This role complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration, along with other regulatory agencies.
