Job summary

Dayton Children’s is hiring for a pharmacist in the Clinical Pharmacy department. The role involves overseeing daily department operations to ensure safe medication processing, reviewing orders, and performing final checks for dispensing.

You will monitor patient therapies and provide drug information while promoting safety and supporting technicians. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, you may take on essential responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
• Licensed Pharmacist in Ohio (State Board of Pharmacy) required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Clinical Pharmacy department to ensure safe and appropriate medication processing and delivery.
• Review and verify medication orders and perform final dispensing checks.
• Monitor patient drug therapies and provide drug information to staff and patients.
• Promote medication safety and supervise pharmacy technicians; may assume duties of pharmacy manager in their absence.
