Job summary

MultiCare Health System’s MultiCare Cancer Institute is seeking a Pharmacist Infusion for per diem days in Washington. The role supports prompt and accurate pharmaceutical care for patients, nurses and physicians, with a schedule of M-F and occasional weekends, minimum 36 hours every 6 weeks.

Responsibilities include dispensing medications, interpreting IV orders, manufacturing nonstandard preparations, supervising staff, and ensuring safe provision of care across services.

Qualifications

  • Licensed pharmacist in the State of Washington.
  • At least 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred in hospital, retail, clinic or other settings.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications to patients and interpret IV admixture orders; prepare primary IV/solutions.
  • Manufacture nonstandard pharmaceutical preparations when required; maintain records.
  • Supervise support personnel and ensure final check of all completed work.
  • Assist in inspection of pharmaceutical supplies across services.
  • Provide safe and accurate pharmaceutical care services.

Position Summary

The Pharmacist Infusion Specialty Services is an exciting professional opportunity at MultiCare, ensuring prompt and accurate pharmaceutical care services for patients, nurses and physicians. This position will offer you the capacity to apply your knowledge and expertise toward supporting quality health services and patient care.

FTE: per diem Shift: days, variable Schedule: M-F, occasional weekends minimum 36 hours every 6 weeks required.

Responsibilities
  • You will dispense medications to patients and interpret IV admixture orders and prepare primary IV/solutions

Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy
  • Licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy residency preferred
  • Minimum one (1) year of pharmacy experience preferred in setting appropriate to work assignment (hospital, retail, clinic or other)
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off.

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position.

The pay scale is $75.89 - $101.98 USD.

However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.

If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
