Job summary

JobRx, Inc. in West Palm Beach, FL, seeks a Pharmacist specialized in Infectious Disease/ASP to oversee medication therapy, dispense, and provide drug information while ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate documentation.

The role requires a Pharm.D. with PGY‑1 (PGY‑2 in ID/ASP or 2+ years with BCIDP preferred), Florida licensure, and BLS within 30 days. Hospital experience is a plus; ACLS/PALS may be required for code attendance.

Qualifications

• Pharm. D. degree and PGY‑1 residency required.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• BCPS/BCIDP certification or equivalent experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor patient medication therapy and orders for safety and efficacy.
• Perform medication profile reviews for interactions and dosing.
• Prepare, label, and dispense medications per prescriptions with proper records.

The Pharmacist - Infectious Disease/ASP provides pharmaceutical care services to patients, including oversight, monitoring, preparation, dispensing, and proper documentation of patient medication therapy. The role also involves providing drug information to patients and caregivers, overseeing information and dispensing systems, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and advising physicians on medication utilization.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor patient medication therapy and orders written for safety and efficacy, considering patient conditions and health status; advise the patient care team on medication therapy and document interventions.
• Perform medication profile reviews to detect duplications, drug‑drug and drug‑food interactions, allergies, drug appropriateness, dosing, and frequency.
• Prepare, label, and dispense medications per physician prescriptions while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and maintaining required records.
• Problem solving, intervention, evaluation, and leadership within the pharmacy team.

Qualifications

Education:

• Required: Pharm. D. and PGY‑1 residency. PGY‑2 in infectious disease/ASP or at least 2 years of equivalent experience with BCIDP certification.

Experience:

• Preferred: Hospital experience.

License:

• Required: Current registered pharmacist license in the State of Florida.

Certifications:

• Required: BLS within 30 days of hire (ACLS and/or PALS if code attendance required).
• Preferred: Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS), CGP, etc.
