We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to work at our independent pharmacy with great staff. We are open Monday-Friday and the schedule can is somewhat flexible to meet the needs of the right candidate.
- Pickup/Delivery only, no drive-thru
*Responsibilities*
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Take LTCF, hospice telephone prescriptions that are appropriate by law
- Supervise the daily activities of the pharmacy, guaranteeing compliant and efficient procedures are being followed
- Provide drug information to healthcare professionals and patients
- Supervise Staff and make sure things are being done accurately, efficiently, and productively
- Monitor patient medication therapies for effectiveness and safety
- Oversee all activities and documentation related to the pharmacy
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care
- Establish, oversee, and enforce policies and processes that uphold the highest standards of professional conduct and conformity with Board rules, state and federal laws
- Regulatory Compliance: staying updated with regulations and being compliant and executing it
- Participate in medication therapy management programs
*Qualifications*
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or Bachelors in Pharmacy from an accredited pharmacy program
- Strong knowledge of retail pharmacy, non-sterile compounding, LTCF, hospice, and laws and regulations; if no LTCF and hospice experience, willing to learn
- Proficiency in patient service and patient care
- Understanding of physiology and pharmacology principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knows how to use pharmacy resources

Pay: $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
