Ark Pharmacies invites a Pharmacist-in-Charge for Lufkin, TX. This full-time role includes a $25,000 sign-on bonus and a two-year contract commitment with 40 hours weekly and rotating weekends.
The compensation package features an ESOP, and full health, dental, and vision insurance paid by the company, with optional disability and life coverage. Candidates must hold a TX pharmacist license and retail pharmacy experience.

Summary
Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals for patient care by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities
As a pharmacist-in-charge, you are supervising the technician, tech-in-training, as well as cashiers on duty during your scheduled shift. This will require active participation in training as well as collaboration with management to handle employee performance evaluations and correction.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
At least two years of retail pharmacy experience required.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to check basic compounding calculations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of prescription processing software, have access to and operational knowledge of a drug information database, and have access to and operational knowledge of the Texas PMP website, internet software, spreadsheet software and word processing software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
