Job summary

PharmD on Demand is seeking a Retail Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for Beauregard Health System/Ragley Clinic Pharmacy in Ragley, LA. The role requires a licensed pharmacist with retail experience and leadership capabilities. 40 hours per week, full-time, with a competitive pay rate and opportunities for advancement.

The position emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, regulatory compliance and exceptional patient counseling in a dynamic hospital-affiliated setting.

Qualifications

• Current pharmacist licensure in the applicable state(s).
• Experience in retail pharmacy setting preferred.
• Experience in Pharmacy Management/ Leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills all legal and regulatory requirements, including evaluation, selection, procurement and distribution of drugs, counseling and professional consultation.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations as well as policies of the hospital and PharmD on Demand.
• Interprets physician medication orders.
• Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals for patient care.
• Utilizes pharmaceutical equipment including automated dispensing machines, Laminar Flow Hoods and compounding equipment.
• Represents the hospital and PharmD on Demand in a positive and professional manner.
• Maintains customer confidentiality at all times.
• Complies with organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.

Job Description

We're seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our team at Beauregard Health Center's Ragley, LA Campus. The ideal candidate is someone who works well in a team environment, detail-oriented, strong communication skills, and problem-solving skills. Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Fulfills all legal and regulatory requirements, including evaluation, selection, procurement and distribution of drugs, counseling and professional consultation
• Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as policies of the hospital and PharmD on Demand
• Interprets physician medication orders
• Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals and related products for patient care by performing related duties
• Utilizes pharmaceutical equipment to include automated dispensing machines, Laminar Flow Hoods and compounding equipment.
• Represents the hospital and PharmD on Demand in a positive and professional manner
• Maintains customer confidentiality at all times
• Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices
• Exercises sound judgment in decision-making

Position Requirements

• Current pharmacist licensure in the applicable state(s)
