Job summary

The Kroger Co. in Wisconsin seeks a licensed Pharmacist to join our Pick ’N Save pharmacy team. You’ll dispense medications, review prescriptions, and provide counseling to customers while upholding Kroger policies and HIPAA requirements.

You’ll administer immunizations, supervise pharmacy technicians, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. A PharmD or B.Pharm and strong communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Pharmacist in good standing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
• Excellent Planning and Organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
• Self-motivated with strong initiative to achieve high standards/results.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service that makes both internal and external customers feel welcome and appreciated.
• Be professional, display a positive attitude, and communicate well to customers or on social media.
• Administer immunizations following Kroger standing orders and procedures.
• Complete clinical services according to relevant caseload.
• Dispense medications to customers pursuant to prescriptions and laws/policies.
• Compound medications using standard formulas and processes.
• Review prescriptions issued by prescribers for accuracy.
• Verify new medication against patient profiles for interactions.
• Verify the work of Pharmacy Technicians and Interns for accuracy.
• Support promotions in consultation with the Pharmacy Manager.
• Engage the pharmacy team to manage day supply and recalls.
• Follow all state and federal licensing requirements.
• Maintain procedures for quality assurance and security of controlled substances.
• Prevent and report robbery, theft or fraud.
• Support preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Reinforce safety programs and correct unsafe conditions.
• Report accidents to management promptly.
• Adjust schedules to cover open shifts as needed.
• Communicate department information to team members.
• Comply with company policies and union contracts.
