JobRx, Inc. in Indio, CA, seeks a registered pharmacist to support hospital pharmacy services across day, evening and night rotations. Under the Director of Pharmacy, you’ll ensure drug therapy needs and collaborate with medical staff, nursing and other departments.

The ideal candidate holds California licensure (R.Ph. or Pharm.D), a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, hospital residency preferred, and at least two years in hospital pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in California (R.Ph. or Pharm.D).
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree required; hospital residency preferred.
• Minimum of two years hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Familiar with unit dose, IV admixtures, and clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Under the Director of Pharmacy, ensure drug therapy needs are met and coordinate with medical staff and nursing services.
• Supervise department personnel in the absence of the Director or Assistant Director.
• Establish rapport with other departments to support patient care.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Under the auspices of the Director of Pharmacy, the staff pharmacist is responsible for assuring drug therapy needs. This individual establishes rapport with other departments as well as the medical staff and nursing services. He/she supervises department personnel in the absence of the Director or the Assistant Director.

Qualifications

• Individual must be a registered pharmacist, R.Ph. or Pharm.D in the State of California.
• Individual shall preferably have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and have completed a hospital residency.
• Individual shall preferably have a minimum of two (2) years experience in hospital pharmacy practice or equivalent.
• Individual shall be familiar with unit dose, IV admixtures, and clinical pharmacy practice.
