Job summary

The Pharmacist I will use EPIC for documentation, engage in pharmacokinetic monitoring, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting hospital standards and continuous learning within a high-volume pharmacy

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree or FPGEC with internship hours
• Active New Jersey Pharmacist license in good standing
• Proficiency in EPIC and hospital pharmacy software

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and clinical appropriateness
• Prepare or supervise dispensing of medications including unit dose systems and Pyxis cabinets
• Compound sterile and non-sterile products including IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and TPN
• Perform pharmacokinetic monitoring and renal dose adjustments; reconcile medications
• Provide oversight and delegate tasks to pharmacy technicians
• Document clinical interventions in EPIC and daily activities
• Consult with physicians, nurses, and providers regarding therapy and patient safety
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies
• Uphold RWJBarnabas Health competencies and perform other duties as assigned
