Job summary

KVH seeks a staff pharmacist to provide progressive pharmaceutical services to hospital patients and the retail pharmacy. You will work closely with other health care providers to ensure positive patient outcomes through safe medication practices.

The retail pharmacy handles Hospice prescriptions under a collaborative practice agreement with the Hospice Medical Director. Minimum qualifications include a PharmD/BS degree, current WA license, CPR/PALS, and familiarity with Pyxis; hospital

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
• Current license to practice Pharmacy in the State of Washington
• Familiarity with Automated Dispensing Cabinetry (e.g. Pyxis)
• Current CPR card (maintenance required)
• Current PALS card (maintenance required)
• Two years’ hospital experience preferred
• Amerisource Bergen, Cerner experience
• CPOE, Emar, Rx Informatics experience
• Bar Code at the Bedside experience
• Retail Pharmacy Experience
• Knowledge of the 340B Program
• Hospice protocols/guidelines experience

Job Description

The staff pharmacist will be responsible for the provision of progressive and comprehensive pharmaceutical services to the hospital patients and the retail pharmacy. The staff pharmacist will work closely with other health care providers to ensure positive patient outcomes associated with safe medication practices. The retail pharmacy fills prescriptions for KVH Hospice under a collaborative practice agreement with our Hospice Medical Director utilizing algorithms approved by the Board of Pharmacy

• Current license to practice Pharmacy in the State of Washington
• Familiarity with Automated Dispensing Cabinetry (ex. Pyxis)
• Current CPR card (maintenance required)
• Current PALS card (maintenance required)

Additional Information

Wage: Wage range currently starts at $61.21/hour and goes up to $92.78/hour. Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience.

FTE: 1.0 (40 hours/week)
