Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care, dispensing and monitoring medications for patients in a hospital setting. The role requires completing duties with attention to USP guidelines while ensuring safety and efficacy of therapy.

Shift hours are nights (7:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.), seven days on and seven days off, including holidays, and the incumbent will participate in a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy, or equivalent, with a BS degree in Pharmacy.
• 1-2 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of USP 795, 797, and 800 guidelines.

The Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution and clinical services ensuring the safe and effective utilization of medications. The Pharmacist is responsible for the dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy in accordance with all applicable regulations and standards.

*Shift hours for this position are Monday through Sunday, 8 p.m. - 7:30am, working 7 days on and 7 days off. The team member will be responsible for all holidays that fall under their rotation.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy, or equivalent, with a minimum of a BS degree in Pharmacy.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• 1-2 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
• Knowledge of principles of USP 795, 797, and 800.
• EPIC experience.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Registered Pharmacist License.
