Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a Floater Pharmacist (Modified Hours) to support our Pharmacy Department in Fairfax, VA. The role focuses on filling prescriptions, counseling patients, and supervising technicians as the pharmacist-on-duty.

You will ensure compliance with laws and maintain accurate records, while delivering high-quality customer service and clinical services such as immunizations and medication therapy management as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed pharmacist in good standing within the state(s) of the region as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Immunization-certified through APhA and CPR-certified through an accredited, state-approved organization.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Numerical and financial aptitude.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to understand and solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional pharmacy services including filling prescriptions and counseling patients.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians when acting as the pharmacist-on-duty.
• Fulfill customer’s prescription needs with accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure pharmacies comply with all local, state and federal laws.
• Maintain inventory, records, security and proper operation of equipment.
