Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for their pharmacy float pool in Springfield, Missouri. This role involves 40 hours per week with a rotating schedule. Responsibilities include verifying medication orders, monitoring patient therapies, and supervising pharmacy staff.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and may have a Doctorate and residency experience. Benefits include medical, vision, dental coverage, and a retirement plan with an employer match.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school is required.
• Doctorate of Pharmacy with completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 residency is preferred.
• No prior experience required; 2 years in a healthcare setting preferred.

Position Summary

Staff Pharmacist – Pharmacy Float Pool. 40 hours per week, rotating shift, scheduled weekly hours vary.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Monitor patient medication therapies and provide drug information to patients and healthcare providers.
• Supervise and direct support personnel within the pharmacy.
• Assume essential responsibilities and duties of the pharmacy manager in their absence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE–accredited school (required).
• Doctorate of Pharmacy with completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 residency (preferred).
• No prior experience required; 2 years in a healthcare setting or equivalent residency training preferred.
• None specified.

Licensure & Certification

• Registered with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist.
• Submission of application for Pharmacy License required at time of hire.
• Medication Therapy Services Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
