Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a pharmacist to deliver expert care in a retail setting, including immunizations and medication therapy management. You will educate patients on medication usage, safety, and cost-effective options while supporting regulatory compliance and accuracy in dispensing.

The role involves mentoring pharmacy staff, providing compassionate service, and contributing to a patient-focused pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and insurance.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients.
Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options.
Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management.
Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding, dispensing, and regulatory compliance.
Mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative and supportive environment.
