Job summary

Walgreens is looking for a Pharmacist to join our team in a retail setting. You will provide expert-level pharmacy consulting, educate patients on medication usage, and deliver immunizations and medication therapy management to support better health outcomes.

You will also ensure medication safety through precise dispensing and regulatory compliance, while mentoring pharmacy staff in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients
• Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options
• Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management
• Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding, dispensing, and regulatory compliance
• Mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative and supportive environment
